Late Night Fly Tying

Donny Osmond Fly (a.k.a. Black Magic)

All the crappie have been beating up my Donny Osmonds. Tonight I figured I’d reload. The bite has been excellent for the last three weeks. I have a feeling the storm system that just ran through central Tennessee will put a hold on things for a bit.

It’s probably for the best. I really need to spend more time at the fly bench. My lines will be getting salty in about a week and a half and I’ve got nothing for it in any of my boxes. Come to think of it, my streamer box is incredibly pathetic looking right now.

I blame these guys:

Crappie keep beating up Donny and other nymphs.

I think the incredibly inconvenient cold front moving through will give me enough time to take my attention off of these guys and get ready for the gulf.
